Papasean Johnson - guitar and vocals
Papasean Johnson is a driving three piece rockin’ blues band. Drawing on influences like Stevie Ray Vaughn, ZZ top, George Thorogood and Jimmy Hendrix. The band started in Vancouver 2007 with guitar player, singer songwriter Sean Poluk. Recruiting local musicians Louise Prevost for the bass and deadly drummer Douglas Collins for the beats. Papasean’s trio live will catch you by surprise, close your eyes and you would think there's a stage full of musicians. Connecting with the audience with there relevent lyrics and memorable songs have made an impact with their fans. They have been turning heads and making their mark in the west coast music scene ever since.
Louise Prevost - Bass Player
Louise was inspired to pick up guitar when she first heard the Beatles in '63. Joined a few bands in Montreal (68-72). 9 to 5 and life took over for many years up until '97. Joined an original alternative band as lead guitarist in 98 but the band folded just as they were releasing their 1st CD. Switched to the bass in '01, joined many basement bands but finally teamed up with Sean and Doug in early 09. Been making great music eversince.....
Douglas Collins - Drummer
After many years of air drumming and finger tapping Doug finally bought his first drum-kit from Acorn Music in Salmon Arm BC in the early 1980's and has been slinging beats ever since. Originally jamming tunes like Twist and Shout, Highway to Hell, and Hiding from Love, with friends in the basement of his parents house he currently holds down the beat for PapaSeanJohnson. Doug has had the honor of drumming for original Rock Bands like Ded. Souls (Calgary), Generica (Edmonton), and Katzenjammer (Vancouver), and many other swell bands along the way. Doug's favorite music is LIVE MUSIC! and he enjoys chocolate covered berries and walks by the river.
